Opened to the public in July 2012 Essex Wildife Trusts Thurrock Thameside Nature Park (Contact details shown at the bottom of the page) comprises of a visitor centre and 120 acres of nature park. Later to expand to 845 acres the park is situated at Mucking on the Essex bank of the Thames Estuary. The park is criss-crossed with footpaths and cycle ways with sensational views over the park and estuary.

CORY ENVIRONMENTAL TRUST VISITOR CENTRE
The Visitor Centre sits proudly at the end of the Park, with roof-top viewing deck, snug area with wood-burning stove, bistro with refreshments, education room, shop and toilets. Disabled access and facilities: Hearing loop, easy access path, full access to visitor centre including roof, disabled toilet and parking.
Dogs are not allowed in the visitor centre but are welcome on a lead in the nature park.

The team can help you to plan a unique and unforgettable party, whatever the weather. If you want to give your child a birthday to remember then Thurrock Thameside Nature Park is the place for you. Design your own child’s party from the great ideas inside the available information pack. Times: Party sessions are 10am to 12 noon or 1.30pm to 3.30pm Saturdays or Sundays, all year round. Other days may be available – please contact our visitors centre. What’s Included: 1½ hours of activities plus ½ hour for food (not included) and use of the party room throughout. What do you need to provide: Food and drink, adults to supervise the children (1:5 for under 5’s/1:6 for 5-8yrs/1:8 for 8-11yrs), decorations and balloons if you would like to decorate the party room. How Many: maximum of 24 children per party booking. How Much: Requested donation of £7 per child, with £70 non-refundable deposit due at time of booking. Please note donations can only be made by cash or cheque (made payable to Essex Wildlife Trust). HOW TO FIND THURROCK THAMESIDE NATURE PARK
The Park is in south Essex, on the Thames Estuary, about five miles east of the M25. Grid ref: TQ 678 810 BY ROAD: Turn off the A1013 from the west or A1014 from the east, towards the village of Stanford Le Hope. Turn into Buckingham Hill Road, then left into Waltons Hall Road and right into Mucking Wharf Road. Carry on past the cottages and barns onto the single-track road up to the Visitor Centre, where there is a large car park. By Public Transport: Nearest train station is Stanford-le-Hope, approximately three miles’ walk away. Direct trains from London Fenchurch Street take 50 minutes; direct trains from Southend Central take 25 minutes. Stanford-le-Hope is served by buses from both Southend and Grays.
