The NHS HeadsUp programme in Essex provides support, advice and mentoring to people with common mental health problems to help them get back into the workplace after a period of unemployment.
HeadsUp can support people who:
Are unemployed or economically inactive
Live in Essex
Have the right to work in the UK
Have a common mental health problem such as anxiety or depression
Are ready to commit to making a positive change in their life.
If you are not eligible for HeadsUp, then we can help signpost you to a local service to give you the help and support you need.

If you live in Southend, you can also get in touch with the Mental Health Employment Navigators service. This is a free service working to support any resident in Southend (no mental health diagnosis is required). They help people to overcome some of the barriers to employment, such as social isolation, anxiety and general wellbeing.
