Aqua Detox is based on the research of medical scientist Dr Royal Rife. A sophisticated foot spa, normally filled with natural organic salts, produces a frequency of positive and negative ions which are said to resonate with ones bio-energetic field. Cellular energy is re-balanced and toxins are removed from the body through the 1,000s of pores in the feet. As this happens the water normally turns brown and sometimes quite thick and sludgy.
Most therapists will finish a session by offering a foot massage, making the experience even more relaxing and pleasurable.
No qualifications are required to offer this therapy and many therapists and beauticians in Essex offer the therapy as an adjunct to their other treatments.
