Live in Witham? Then you can sign up for a free home visit that will help you to save water at home, and cut the cost of your bill. The project, Every Drop Counts, is the Essex & Suffolk Water campaign, supported by Groundwork. Residents in Witham have the chance to get a free 45 minute water and energy saving visit worth £130 at a time convenient to them. Allowing you to save money and benefit the environment at the same time.
If you’d like to support the Every Drop Counts campaign, you can also volunteer as a Community Champion and help Groundwork to spread the message about water saving in Witham. As a champion you’ll get involved with community stalls and events that will show local residents the importance of water saving, and how we need to use water efficiently, in order to help protect the environment and meet the needs of future generations.
If you live in Harlow, have served in the armed forces (or a close relative has) and need help to manage your overgrown garden, then call the Green Aiders. The service is on offer to vulnerable or disabled ex-Service personnel or their spouses, partners, widows/widowers, children or dependants aged 65 plus, thanks to funding from The Royal British Legion. You can also sign-up to be a Green Aiders volunteer to gain new skills, get outdoors and active and help local Harlow residents.
