Could you help Little Heroes ASD Support Group turn the new premises they have found into their ‘dream home?’
Little Heroes ASD Support Group, based in Southend, started 7 years ago when a group of local families, all with children on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) met for a monthly coffee morning.
The self-financing group, now a small registered charity, has grown considerably and supports over 200 families face to face and over 2,000 people virtually. They now need a permanent home and have found premises in London Road, Westcliff. But as you can see from the pictures below, it’s a blank canvas at the moment and Little Heroes need support turning the premises into the Little Heroes Dream Hub?
Could you help little Heroes?
There are currently two big needs to get the premises up and running:
Kitchen area for the front room.
The front room will be a support area for parents to meet and receive support and advice. We would like it to include a small drink/snack-making area so urgently need kitchen units, sink and taps to add a clean and safe untility area.
Serviced alarm system
We need a serviced alarm system as that is a requirement of insurance for the premises.
Can you or anyone you know make any contributions to provide any of the products and/or services needed either as a donation or maybe at cost price? Or maybe you are having a new kitchen fitted and have a few units you could donate? Or perhaps you are a tradesman and could volunteer your services?
If you can’t help with the premises improvements, there’s still a few tickets left for their fundraising gala on 22nd November. It promises to be a great night, so why not book and have a fun night out whilst also supporting a great cause.
