As well as being the editor and CEO of Healthy Life Essex, I run several organisations that encourage companies to support the local community in Southend. (For more information, visit www.jillpoet.co.uk)
I am always delighted when small businesses are doing their bit to support local charities and community groups. This isn’t normally about giving money. Many companies offer their services free of charge or at a heavily discounted rate to local good causes, get involved in fundraising or volunteering, or become valued Trustees.
Our newest directory advertiser came to my attention in an unusual way. I receive a weekly newsletter from SAVS (Southend Association of Voluntary Services) and Alison Seeger of AS Reflexology was featured as someone who was offering free treatments “to those good people who dedicate their lives to the well-being of others directly, or who help such organisations financially.” Fantastic!!
Alison has a small home-based clinic in Great Wakering offering a warm and friendly environment. She has a PhD in Reflexology and is a registered Full Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR)
Alison is also a Christian and believes “in the healing power of human touch and kindness.”
Please note that Alison reserve’s the right to refuse treating any individual.
