London To Paris Cycle – Challenge Yourself in 2023
As the modern-day saying goes, “New Year, New Me”, but sometimes you have to challenge yourself for the “new me” part to be really effective. About the ride
This four-day challenge starts Wednesday, 19, and ends Sunday, 23 July 2023, covering 300 miles of fantastic countryside. Once you leave London, you’re going to pass through picturesque Kent and then cross the Channel to Calais. You’ll be transported to the small peaceful villages of Northern France and cycle through mediaeval towns. The French countryside will welcome you with wooded valleys and tranquil hamlets from where you wish you’d never leave.
On day four, you’ll pedal into Paris where reaching the Eiffel Tower, standing as proud as ever, will convey such a great sense of personal achievement. The climax of the ride is naturally the finish line you’ll reach, peddling en masse around the iconic Arc de Triomphe and down the luxurious Champs-Élysées. Your sense of achievement is completed by the cheers of the tourists and locals who would be there to support you.
The French capital is also set up for the grand finale of the Tour de France, so you’ll soak up the celebration atmosphere of the world’s greatest riding race. In fact, you reach Paris a day ahead of the big event. And since you’re in France, the spiritual home of road cycling or, if you prefer, the City of Love, it’d be a pity not to enjoy all this wonderful capital city has to offer.
Costs
The fundraising target of this event is £1,750, and the self-funded payment is £1,650, so you have two options to fund your place on this trip: sponsorship and self-funding. Regardless of your choice, you’re required to pay a registration fee of £139.
