Healthwatch is an independent charity set up under the Health & Social Care Act 2012, acting as a champion for the people who use health and social care services – which is pretty much 100% of the general public – and ensuring their views are heard.

Each local authority will have its own Healthwatch and so, in Essex, we have Healthwatch Essex, Healthwatch Thurrock and Healthwatch Southend

Healthwatch has launched ‘What Would You Do?’ to gather feedback from the public on ways to improve local NHS services. Your views matter.

Healthwatch want to know how you think the NHS can help people live healthier lives, what would make local services better, and how to care for people with Long Term Conditions.
