Recruiting Community Carers
Have you ever wondered about working in care?
Now is your chance!
SPDNS has been providing care at home for over 35 years, and has built a reputation for high quality reliable care. We are very proud of the care and support our care staff provide. Our staff really matter to us and we do all we can to help and support them and invest in their training & development. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated our services as GOOD with no improvements required.
We cover Leigh, Westcliff, Thorpe Bay, Castle Point & Rochford. Our Hospice at Home team based at St Luke’s in Basildon is looking for care staff. We are also looking for someone to work at the Thurrock campus of SEC.
If you don’t live close enough to consider a position with us, there are plenty of other opportunities to work in care. But do your homework first: do check the CQC website for results of the latest inspections.
What we are looking for
You don’t have to have any previous experience as we provide in-depth training and will support you to complete the Care Certificate. You will have job shadowing and support until you are confident in your role.
We are looking for people we think have the right attitude and qualities to make good carers and have a fulfilling career as well as people who have worked in care previously.
Flexible hours to suit you, both full and part time work available. You will need to be a car owner and driver and be able to work some evenings and weekend. You will need to be able to regularly work at least 16 hours a week.
Rewards and benefits of working for SPDNS
Free Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks, free uniform, fully paid induction (£350 approx), £7.88 an hour with enhancements for evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, child care voucher and pension scheme.
The people we are looking for need to be mature and reliable, patient and caring, and really want to look after others. In return you will enjoy making a difference to people’s lives every day. We offer you very good training and ongoing support from a Care Manager, with 24/7 on call support from a Senior Manager. You will be joining a small team with Care Managers and Supervisors to look after you.
