Southend Library are screening a thought provoking film that should be well worth going along to.
Front Line- A Class Divided
Southend Central LibraryLecture Theatre
Wednesday 28th January 7.30pm – 9pm
Southend Library will be screening the classic documentary on the blue eyes/brown eyes classroom exercise created by third grade teacher Jane Elliott, which was originally conducted in America following the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968. This film records the often devastating effects of discrimination and prejudice; demonstrated through a simple exercise and highlighting just how easily it can occur.
Tackling issues still rife today of privilege and inequality, this is a thought-provoking film which is being screened free of charge as a complementary feature to the library’s Holocaust Display.
