What glorious weather! I hope, like us, you have all been able to take advantage of he late sunshine and spend some time outdoors – and make sure we top up that essential vitamin D.
On Saturday, Mike and I had to go to an industrial estate just outside Chelmsford. We checked the map and realised we were close to the River Can, so we found somewhere to park and followed it through to Chelmsford town centre, where it meets the River Chelmer. Our parking spot meant we had to navigate the pitch and putt course in Admirals Park. We wandered westward for a while, and then backtracked and followed the river trail right through Admirals Park, linking to Central Park and into the town centre. It was so pleasant, and we were very impressed with all the walk ways and cycle paths through these beautiful parks and into the town centre. What a pleasant way to be able to pop into the high street for a bit of shopping! And it was a delight to see so many parents and grandparents walking, cycling and generally enjoying the park with their children.
Just to ensure we didn’t miss the sunshine, it was back to gardening on Sunday. With winter pansies planted and hedges well and ruly trimmed back, we are well on the way to getting the garden ready for winter.
The sun is still shining, but unfortunately back to the office today!Â
