Winter is coming – Wildfowl and Waders – Wallasea Island

During November our wintering flocks and waders are building towards their winter peak. Come along to witness some impressive sights as the birds swirl around high tide roosts or feed at the end of the saltmarsh. See flocks of farmland birds and hopefully a few raptors. Join the Brentwood and Billericay Local EWT Group for a visit to this outstanding RSPB site on the Crouch/ Roach estuaries. Extensive remodelling has transformed former arable farmland into a vast wetland, containing salt-marsh, pools, scrapes and reed-beds.
