This event at the United Reformed Church in Great Baddow has been organised by the Chelmsford Local EWT Group. Jo Roberts, CEO of Wilderness Foundation, will talk about its work, both in Essex and further afield, and describe how the charity has become a leader in the use of wild spaces to help transform vulnerable people’s lives. (This charity was one of seven chosen by Prince Harry and Megan Markle to receive donations in place of wedding gifts).

An illustrated talk by Rachel Langley about the Living Seas. This event is organised by the Chelmsford Local EWT group and the talk is preceded by a short AGM. Rachel is EWT Living Seas Coordinator for the Living Seas project. She will give an insight into Essex’s marine, coastal and intertidal wildlife and the challenges it faces, as well as showcasing Essex Wildlife Trust’s marine conservation projects.

The Chelmsford Local EWT Group has arranged this illustrated talk on beekeeping by local man Ian Grant from the Chelmsford Bee Keepers Association. Ian has been keeping bees for 15 years and will explain the history of beekeeping, life in the hive and the production of honey. Bees are essential pollinators, and the craft of beekeeping goes back thousands of years.
