Training for Adults Supporting Forest School Leaders – Abbots Hall Farm

£50Understand the ethos of Forest School and learn new skills such as fire lighting, tying knots and tool usage.
This course is designed to equip untrained helpers with knowledge and skills to enhance the Forest School and maximise their role as facilitator as well as supporting role for the Forest School leader.
Course content:
• The Forest School approach
• Developing social skills in children
• Independence, creativity and risk taking.
• Fire lighting skills
• Tool use and supporting children in crafting from wood
• Key knots for shelters, tree swings and rope walks
• Basic bug and tree identification
• Sharing ideas and experiences.
Cost shown is a recommended donation per person.
There are limited spaces so advance booking essential.
Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the course date will incur a £20 penalty fee.
