Perry Browns Charity Day – get your hair done for charity – Southend

Perry Browns is a professional and friendly hairdressers and beauticians based in Southchurch Road, Southend.
Proprietor Natasha Brown and her team are all giving their time totally free of charge. You can go along and have your hair done, colouring, cuts, styling, or a beauty treatment – whatever you want! There’s no charge except for products purchased, but you will be asked to make a contribution to help a little two-year old boy get a special wheelchair.

Oliver Davies has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 2. This is a genetic condition that makes muscles weaker and causes a problem with movement. It is a serious condition and it will gradually get worse. But the are treatments and equipment that can help manage the condition and help Oliver to have a better quality of life.
Oliver needs various pieces of equipment and, in particular, a special wheelchair which costs up to £25,000. It isn’t available on the NHS. In addition, the Davies’ family need to drastically adapt and extend their house to make it more accessible for Oliver.
