Exploring the History Of Abbotts Hall Farm: Two Day Course
12th April 2019 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
A two-day course running over two weeks where we will explore the 4,000 year history of the home of Essex Wildlife Trust and its surroundings.
Working together, both in the classroom and in the field, we will discover how history has shaped the land and the use our ancestors made of it. We will range from the bronze age, through monasteries and the dark days of the second world war and stopping off in between. No previous knowledge is required and we will use many sources to arrive at the answers.
A large percentage of this course will be field work, so please bring suitable clothing and stout footwear. A notepad and pen will also be useful.
