Clavering is a popular village near with many timber-framed dwellings, a beautiful 14th century church, and a village green with cricket pitch and thatched pavilion. A ford crosses the River Stort.
Jamie Oliver was brought up in Clavering and his parents still run The Cricketers Public House.

Chestnut Cottage
Carol and Mike Wilkinson own this stunning, 1-acre cottage garden opposite Clavering Ford and with stunning views over the medieval heart of the village.
There are lots of pathways and seats to sit and relax. You can also visit ‘The Little House’ built in1760 which is reputed to be the smallest thatched cottage in England.
Homemade teas are available.

Mrs William-Powlett’s garden has extensive views over the surrounding countryside.
Features include formal old walled garden, shrubs, lawns, ha-ha, yew with topiary, stilt hedge, pond, trellised rose garden and a landscaped field walk.

A peaceful country garden in Langley with wide, informal mixed borders include, shrub roses and perennials.
