Following the opening of the new Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Mid Essex Support Centre, our local community, clients, volunteers and guests are invited to come and see the new Centre in Hatfield Peverel.

Work commenced on the Support Centre in January 2019 with the ground floor being converted into a purpose-built Cancer Support Centre. The first floor will continue to accommodate the Finance, Fundraising and Administrative teams.

To save on costs the teams and our loyal volunteers, who have continued to come into the office, even when we were unable to provide parking for them have remained on site putting up with the noise, dust and disruption of a building site. The builders have been great to work with but we are looking forward to them leaving!

Pat Hume, Support Centre Manager said “We are all getting very excited to be opening the doors to our new Support Centre which will provide complementary therapies including reflexology and aromatherapy, as well as counselling and support groups to those affected by cancer. Included in the plans are social spaces, a relaxing garden area and free parking for our clients. Everyone is welcome to come and see what we do and ask questions; we look forward to welcoming you!”

Representatives from the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity will be attending the open days who will be on hand to answer questions about the Support Centre and refreshments will be available.
