1940s weekend event – The Naze centre
1st June 2019 @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm
The 1940’s weekend event will be on Saturday the 1st of June and Sunday the 2nd of June 2019. The event will swing into action at 10:00 am and run all day until 4:30 pm on both days. It is a 1940’s themed event with live music, theatre, dance, and war memorabilia and all sorts of activities for kids and adults spread throughout the day.
There will be a band called “She Brings The Rain” playing two sessions throughout both days.
There will also be a live theatre performance on Saturday and a live dance performance on Sunday. War inspired information talks and memorabilia will be the main focus of the event, with a myriad of 1940’s vehicles on display on the green behind the Naze visitors centre.
Children’s activities will run for the duration of both days.
On Sunday there will be two dance sessions that will include dances such as Jive, Lindy-hop, Balboa, and Shag. There will be the opportunity to join in and show off some of your own moves as well!
