The Beth Chatto Gardens, Colchester

The internationally famous Beth Chatto Gardens are the result of over 50 years of hard work and application by the late, award-winning gardener, author and lecturer, Beth Chatto, who won 10 gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show, in 10 consecutive years.
The gardens include dry, damp, shade, reservoir and woodland areas. Additionally, there is a new Reservoir Garden which was opened by Beth in 2017: a wonderful area, and a must-visit for those who haven’t seen it yet.
Overlooking the Gravel Garden and large Plant Nursery, is a large Tea Room; offering homemade breakfasts, lunches and teas. It is also fully licensed.
Access to the Tearoom, Plant Nursery and Gravel Garden is FREE.
