Whatever time of year you visit Furzelea, it is guaranteed to provide plenty of interest, from thousands of tulips in the spring, abundant roses and other perennials from June, hemerocallis in July and Dahlias, Asters and late exotics from september onwards. These colourful and co-ordinated borders have a frame-work provided by topiary, grasses and climbers.
There are many themed garden areas including a black and white garden. Enjoy tea in the courtyard area surrounded by more exotics. There is also a lily pond and camomile steps.
The 2/3 acre peaceful retreat is also a haven for wildlife including birds and butterflies.
The garden has its own micro climate due to the gentle south facing slope which enables plating of more tender subjects and earlier flowering of many varieties.
The garden is opposite Danbury Common and just a short walk to Danbury Country Park and Lakes.
This garden is also open for groups on other dates subject to arrangement
