Volunteering ‘taster day’ – working with children – Rainham Marshes nature reserve

Volunteering taster days are designed for you to try volunteering in a particular activity, to see if you like it. There is no commitment to continue after this day, though we hope you do!
We have roles for weekends, school holidays, school hours and half-term, so you can fit volunteering around your family life.
This taster day will give you the opportunity to find out what it’s like to volunteer in roles that are designed to help children discover nature through hands-on nature activities. We need help with various things such as helping families have fun on the reserve through activities like pond dipping, grasshopper safaris, working with school groups and their teachers on school visits and leading our weekly toddler group, helping preschoolers and their parents have fun outdoors.
Tea, coffee and cake available throughout the day.
