Are you an unpaid Carer based in Southend? Would you be interested in voicing your opinions and discussing the types of provision available for carers? The Southend Carers Hub plans to have Carers voices at the heart of planning the support it provides in recognition of the knowledge and experience unpaid carers can offer in helping improve and shape the way services are delivered.
The Southend Carers Hub is setting up a new Carers ‘Roving’ Reference Group, and are looking for Carers who are willing to get involved to discuss the types of provision available, as well as help co-design new initiatives & approaches, to meet the needs of Carers living in Southend-on-Sea.
This group will meet 3/4 times a year in venues across the town.
Applicants should:
• Be a current carer aged 18 years or over
• Be caring for someone who lives in the Southend-in-Sea area
• Be able to attend and contribute to meetings
• Have an interest in carer issues
Southend Carers Hub can arrange respite and will reimburse reasonable travel costs, child care or other expenses incurred by Carers through attending the meetings.
