Well, Southend Library has really been encouraging a healthy life style! I was shocked to see how they had arranged events, a whole progamme packed with a variety of different events associated with nature. Alongside discovering the history of Southend, many events included nature walks and meetings where the improvement of our town would be discussed. As Southend has fascinating historical aspects to it, many people just like myself would wish to find out. There’s no age limit to this, as even children are excited to going on mysterious nature trips and finding out what they discover!
I always knew about Southend having the longest pier in Europe once upon a time, but I knew I didn’t know enough about it’s history even though I’ve lived here all my life. It’s interesting to find out new aspects of your own town, which you think you might know pretty well, when infact there are things which you didn’t realise at all.
So if you think that this interests you just pop into Southend Library and collect a programme, seeing as the events are still being carried out. From young children to teenagers to the elderly. Anyone can contribute, and you never know it could be fun fun fun!
