Walk – FINGRINGHOE WICK (EWT)

18th March 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us here at Fingringhoe Wick for a 2.5 hour walk led by Stuart Anderson.

Fingringhoe Wick was Essex Wildlife Trust’s first nature reserve and is set in a spectacular position, overlooking the Colne Estuary.

The reserve was formerly a sand and and gravel quarry, more recently EWT acquired additional land that has been developed into an intertidal area by breaching the flood wall. The Margaret Hide offers wonderful all round views of the area where we hope to see various ducks, waders, raptors and maybe a kingfisher.

We will meet in the visitor centre, toilets and refreshments will be available.

The reserve is open until 5pm if you wish to explore further.

Stout shoes/boots and warm clothing recommended.

If bad weather is forecast please ring Stuart on 07443 411934 between 8 and 9 am on the day, no later than 9pm the day before.
