StarDome Mobile Planetarium – Abberton Reservoir

Essex Wildlife Trust in conjunction with the North Essex Astronomical Society (NEAS) have booked Andrew Green, Director of the StarDome, for an evening that will be truly out of this universe!
When the dome lights dim to a gasp from the audience you will see 3000 stars appear in a perfect night sky free from light pollution.
The planetarium experience is one that people young and old alike will remember for many years.
If the weather permits NEAS members will be manning scopes so that the night stars can be seen on the evening too.
There will be three sessions this evening..
BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL
Please only arrive just before your session starts as the centre needs to be quiet when the Dome is in use.
Session one:
- StarDome: 7:30pm – 8:15pm
- Space talk: 8:15pm – 8:45pm
- Stargazing with NEAS: 8:45pm – 9:30pm (weather permitting)
Session two:
- StarDome: 8:30pm – 9:15pm
- Space talk: 9:15pm – 9:45pm
- Stargazing with NEAS: 9:45pm – 10:30pm (weather permitting)
Session three:
- StarDome: 9:30pm – 10:15pm
- Space talk: 10:15pm – 10:45pm
- Stargazing with NEAS: 10:45pm – 11:30pm (weather permitting)
Light refreshments only will be available to purchase between show times.
