Southend Museum Sensory-Friendly Accessible Opening

22nd August 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a sensory-friendly morning for children and adults who need a quieter environment to enjoy Southend Central Museum. The museum will remain open to the public during this time but the music will be turned off and the main lights will be up in the Prittlewell Prince gallery.

Entry is free for this session.

Please note, the disabled toilet is located next door in Beecroft Art Gallery. There is no step-free access to the first floor of central museum.

Transport / parking information
Disabled parking is available at the rear of the museum, please see website for details. For all other parking please use the pay and display carpark located next to the Beecroft Art Gallery on Victoria Avenue.
Disability Information
Central Museum has no disabled toilet. The nearest toilet is in our art gallery next door, the Beecroft Art Gallery, which will be open during the Accessible Opening. There is also no disabled access to the first floor of Central Museum, however all of our galleries are located on the ground floor.
