“Seed! alternative approaches to climate smart agricultural crop breeding that do not require genetic modification” is a Zoom event presented by Steven Jacobs, Business Development Manager, Organic Farmers & Growers (OF&G)
Steven will argue the more critical need is to support evolutionary plant breeding with an emphasis on heterogeneity.
The attached photo was taken at the Organic Farmers & Growers’ (OF&G) annual conference which that year, 2018, was in Shropshire at Mark Lea’s Green Acres Farm.
Just visible in the distance on the barn roofs are some solar panels, the compost is a windrow compost using green waste collected from residential areas local to the farm and the crops are trials of beans with different ratios of cereals to see if there’s a better fit for mutual help or if they compete too much.
Suggested minimum donation: £2.00
