Five different gardens by the seaside, all within walking distance in the historical town of Harwich.
8 St Helens Green, a small town garden, with an abundance of dahlias, salvias, and hydrangeas mixed with many complimentary perennials.
63 Church Street (access via Cow Lane), a long, narrow walled courtyard with climbers, shrubs, perennials and veg packed into the garden including several architectural features.
30 Church Street (access via Customs House Lane), a tiny courtyard reclaimed from a barren space in 18 months. many pots and climbers it is a very restful space.
The sunken garden is a hidden gem. A large space behind Quayside Court (entrance through Quayside Court car park on corner of Eastgate St and Castlegate St.), features a pond, veg patch, roses and climbers, and many interesting features.
A previous waste area enclosed by high walls, the Walled Garden is a garden without a house. Planted with perennials. It’s a place for plant lovers.
