Volunteers are needed to join the Friends of Leigh Library Gardens working parties and also in other capacities to spread awareness, run events or gather tools.
The Friends meet in the Gardens, near the Library building, at 10am to 11.30am on working party days. Working with Leigh-on-Sea town Council and Southend-on-Sea Council.
The Friends of Leigh Library Gardens are a small, friendly group of local people who have come together to work in the Gardens, improve the facilities, tend the plants and trees and develop them as a community space for future generations.
Tools are provided but suitable clothing for outdoor work is needed. Support from other community or social groups and organisations in achieving the charity’s objectives would be welcomed too.
