Feeringbury Manor is an ancient site with parts of the house, on land originally belonging to William the Conqueror, dating back to before 1500.
This is a 10-acre garden on the River Blackwater. There are two ponds and lots of interesting planting, highlights of which include the jewelled lawn which sparkle with tiny bulbs between February and April, and the explosion of purple michaelmas daisies in September. But with so much planting, two ponds with a Victorian waterwheel and a pretty stream bed leading to the river, and various gates, arbours and benches made by sculptor Ben Coode-Adams, there is something to delight throughout the year.
This garden is open on many dates throughout the year, and also makes a donation to Feering Church
