Colourthon Charity 10k and Half-marathon Fun Walk
7th July 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 11:00 pm
With over £1.45 million pledged to-date benefitting over 720 charities, it’s easy to understand why the Colourthon is one of the top fundraising community events in Essex!
2018 is our 12th year and we believe key to its success is the fact that you can take part and raise money for ANY registered charity.
A 10k and half marathon FUN walk around Southend by night… with a difference!
Both walks kick off at 6pm (just as the sun is setting) on Saturday 7th July 2018, and those walking are encouraged to dress as brightly as their imaginations will allow! As organisers, we think we have seen it all… but there are charity spot prizes for those who impress us with their costumes!
Besides the obvious fun of dressing up, when you are out on the course, it highlights to the public the many worthy causes represented by our walkers in full and spectacular colour!
With either 10K or 13.1 miles to cover, the walks take in all the sights, sounds and smells of the seaside by night. Our stewarding team will keep you safe and cheer you on, all the way back to our amazing night time finish line party! Make the most of returning and get your friends and family to join you for a celebration at the end of walk.
You will most definitely deserve it; there may even be a cake waiting for you!
