Beeleigh Abbey, now a private house (not open to the public), is a historic setting for this 3-acre secluded garden which has been extended and revived n the last three years.
The garden has a number of different rooms, with mature trees surrounding a variety of planting and water features including a rose garden with over 300 modern English roses and an 85yd long herbaciousborder. There are also cottage and bog gardens, kitchen and soft fruit gardens, an orchard, wild flower meadowmand a wisteria walk.
More recently, the main lawn has been divided to provide more pathways to connect with existing areas. A focal point is the 3-tiered water feature and pool. A low yew hedge and 12 large standard yews have been planted together with over 140 Munstead lavenders and 12 Winchester Cathedral roses.
The garden is open on other dates throughout the year.
