Although a small garden, it is packed full of features and was featured on Alan Tichmarsh’s first ‘Love Your Garden’ series (‘The Secret Garden’) including a fairy garden to add interest for younger visitors.
This very colourful, small town gardenis packed with a wide variety of shrubs, perennials, herbaceous and bedding plants in over 200 assorted containers. All pots are watered using an automatic system and the owner is more than happy to explain how such systems can be installed.
There is a allotment next door that can be accessed directly from the garden that will be fully open for visitors to view. The owner keeps bees on the allotment, the hives can be accessed (at visitors own risk) and the owner will be available for questions about bee keeping. Honey will be on sale and the owner also hopes to have plants and allotment produce for sale, though this will be dependent on weather and available time.
There is plenty of seating to enjoy the home made cakes, tea, coffee and soft drinks available.
