Domestic wind turbines could power 800,000 homes. - Healthy Life Essex

A new report by the Energy Saving Trust suggests that up to 800,000 homes could use small domestic wind turbine power effectively. The report confirms that many urban areas are not suitable for domestic wind turbine use, as previous reports have indicated. however, there are 450,000 locations in the UK where the cost of the turbines would save enough energy to justify their use.

But beware of cheap wind turbines from DIY stores.  Before purchase, do ensure you are in a suitable area and the turbine will produce sufficient power. Many models available appear too good to be true for the price – and they often are!
