These adult-only (over 18) free workshops are supported by EMFF funding via the North Thames Fisheries Local Action Group, which supports projects in the Thurrock – Shoeburyness area.
Each day will include: an indoor session covering the background to juvenile fish surveys and different techniques; and an outdoor session at Essex Wildlife Trust’s Two Tree Island Nature Reserve, where we will put the indoor session into practice.
Attendees will receive an IFM certificate on successful completion of the workshop.
The workshops will be led by Steve Colclough from the Institute of Fisheries Management (IFM)
The events are part of the Essex Wildlife’s Marine Month which is a chance to celebrate and enjoy Essex’s coastal and marine wildlife – but it’s also an opportunity to raise awareness of the challenges facing our seas and do our bit to safeguard them for the future.
Please bring walking boots/wellies, suitable clothing, water and snackes and sunscreen.
