A trained CHEK Practitioner is a Personal Trainer who has a more holistic approach to training, bridging the gap between a Personal Trainer and a Physical therapist.
CHEK Practitioners take into account the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of their clients. Practitioners will assess posture, flexibility, muscle balance, stress levels and the overall health of their clients, using knowledge drawn from many kinds of therapies including osteopathy, chiropractic, homoeopathy and naturopathy. This will ensure the training programme meets the client’s requirements and their needs in terms of addressing any postural issues which often have a significant impact on general health, and also ensure maximum benefit from training sessions.
Nutrition and lifestyle assessments are also a very important part of the process and clients will normally be asked to complete a comprehensive questionnaire and then keep a 7-10 day diary of their water and food intake, exercise, activity, sleep quality and energy and stress levels.
Once all the assessments are complete, CHEK Practitioners in Southend will then be able to offer theie clients a number of training packages to suit their wide-ranging needs and aspirations.
